(Jan 2022) Urielsoft has successfully completed the “Airport Waiting Time Data Collection and Opening” project which was carried out as an R&D project since June of last year, and as the result, the “Airport Boarding Time Information Service” has been officially opened on January 1st, 2022.

As part of the Public Data New Deal, this project was selected as a public data company matching support project managed by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. In this project, KAC(Korea Airports Corporation) and Urielsoft have cooperated as a demanding organization and supplying company respectively.

The Airport Boarding Time Information Service provides passengers with the time required for each of the four sections of the airport starting from check-in to boarding (boarding pass issuance to identification, identification to security check, security check to boarding, boarding to aircraft departure) in real-time. Through this service, passengers can independently manage their time more efficiently.

Passengers can inquire about the average time spent by other passengers in each section for the past 15 minutes from the time of inquiry. 

This service is currently available on the main website of Gimpo Airport and Jeju Airport first. 

The Airport Boarding Time Information Service is the first service in the world that provides real-time data of congestion level and waiting time of the entire sections of passenger processing. 

In addition, the waiting time and airport congestion-related data are opened to the public through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's public data portal. 

It is expected that the data opened through this service will greatly contribute to the development of passenger transportation services at airports across the country by enabling other private companies to utilize the data to develop new aviation services for passengers.

Despite the overall depression in the aviation industry due to COVID-19, Urielsoft and KAC did not stop putting their effort into the R&D projects and they achieved success.
