On November 11th, Urielsoft completed the system implementation of Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (AirCUS), Local Departure Control System (L-DCS), and Flight Information Display System (FIDS) at Pemba Airport located on Pemba Island, Zanzibar, Tanzania.

All the system implemented this time was developed by Urielsoft, a company specializing in passenger transportation systems in the aviation field. This achievement is meaningful because it is the first time that a Korean company's airport system has been applied to an overseas airport - in other words, a Korean company finally entered the global airport system market, which is monopolized by a small number of global companies.

This project has been awarded to Urielsoft in February 2020 through international competitive bidding, and it was originally planned to supply the system to Zanzibar International Airport (AAKIA). However, the work was suspended due to the corona crisis and some major changes in the airport authority organization. Urielsoft had difficulty continuing with the project, but they did not give up. After a long consultation, Urielsoft and ZAA agreed to change the target airport to Pemba Airport and resumed the installation work in August of this year.

Pemba Island is one of Tanzania's tourist attractions where you can enjoy a private vacation on a beautiful beach and is also famous for its underwater hotels. Although the size of Pemba Airport is small, it is a place frequently visited by tourists, and it is considered to be a good start for entering the Tanzania aviation market.

As mentioned above, Urielsoft has finally achieved exporting the airport system first time in Korea, which has been a task for a long time.

Urielsoft asks for your continued interest and support for its advancement into overseas markets even wider.
